Our process

At Cosy School Rooms, we aim to make the process of ordering your perfect outdoor classroom as smooth and stress-free as possible. From initial contact, your outbuilding can usually be installed within 4 – 6 weeks. We work with you every step of the way; our team is flexible and can be available to suit you. Here is what to expect:

Introduction and Initial Contact

  • Contact us via our website, phone, email, WhatsApp or our social media channels to discuss your ideas and requirements. We won’t incessantly call you; if you prefer to communicate via message, that is fine.

  • Consultation, we’ll ask questions to understand your requirements, such as the size, intended use, design preferences etc. We will give you lots of advice and suggestions about planning, how our buildings are built, design and budget.

Free Site Survey

  • We’ll arrange a convenient time to visit you and view the intended building site.

  • During the survey, we’ll assess the available space, check access, and discuss any planning and building regulation requirements. We’ll also discuss design ideas—don’t worry if you’re unsure, as we’ll provide plenty of suggestions. We will guide you through all the options and share samples to help you visualise your perfect garden room.

Design and Quotation

  • Back in the office, we’ll create a 3D CAD drawing based on your preferences, allowing you to visualise your garden room. The drawings will include details such as cladding, colours and electrical layout, lighting, sockets, and consumer unit.

  • We’ll send the drawings to you along with a detailed quotation that includes all costs and timelines—completely transparent with no hidden fees.

​

  • There’s no limit to the number of changes you can make. We’re happy to tweak and refine the design as many times as needed until it’s perfect for you.

Confirmation and Booking

  • Once you’re happy with the design and quote, we will ask you to pay a deposit and choose an installation date. Flexible finance options are available, now is the time to talk to our team if you are interested in this.

Installation

  • Our team will arrive on-site to begin building your garden room. The process starts with any necessary ground preparation and base installation. The base takes around half a day for our teams to create.

  • Once the materials are delivered, the Cosy team will construct your outdoor classroom.

​

  • Most installations are completed within 5–8 days, depending on the design, size, and features.

Final Walkthrough

  • Once the outdoor classroom is built, flooring fitted and painted, we’ll conduct a final walkthrough with you to ensure every detail meets your expectations.

Aftercare and Guarantee

  • We offer a quality guarantee, so you can have peace of mind.

  • If you’ve chosen extras like a sedum roof, we provide care instructions to keep everything looking its best.

Payment Schedule

Deposit of 25% Due: when an order is placed. Remaining Balance Due: Within 7 days of completion. You will be sent your electrical certificate, guarantee information and copy invoices and receipts.
